At this point, it is important to mention that customers who have become accustomed to working with you within the limits of a retainer may try to crush larger requests under the retainer`s veil. If these situations occur, you should distribute increasingly important projects outside of your long-term agreement to avoid additional revenue opportunities. Once you have convinced a customer to enter into a storage agreement with you, it is important to create the basics with the customer in advance. While your conservation agreement reflects a typical project contract in many ways, there are a few unique elements that you want to make sure you include. If you are working on a project-based retainer, you will find in your contract that all work outside the limits of the project in question must be clearly appreciated by the conservation agreement. Given access to “confidential information” exchanged between the parties, the designer and the client agree to do so; (a) treat all information relating to business and/or marketing plans, discussions, research, graphic design and marketing programs and processes in a strictly confidential manner; (b) disclose this information only to persons who have signed a confidentiality agreement to obtain this information; and (c) label confidential documents, whether orally, electronically or on paper, by the word “confidential” or by a similar warning.
